Privacy Policy

I, Cátia Resende, want you to know how I collect, use, and disclose personal data (information that identifies you as an individual). I am committed to protecting the privacy of personal data it collects and processes, and I will act in compliance with applicable data protection legislation.

Personal Information You Choose to Provide

Registration Information: You must provide your email address when you sign up to receive the newsletter. Email Information: If you choose to correspond with me through email, I may retain the content of your email messages and your email address, and our responses.

The legal bases for my processing of Personal Information are primarily that the processing is necessary for providing the Website and that the processing is carried out in our legitimate interests, which are further explained in the “How Do I Use the Information That You Provide to Us” section. I may also process Personal Information upon your consent, asking for it as appropriate.

Website Use Information

Like other websites, my Website utilizes Web server logs to collect information about how my Website is used. For example, data gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at my website, and the Websites visited just before and after my Website.

How Do I Use the Information That You Provide to me?

I take steps designed to ensure that only I have access to your Personal Information. If you have chosen to subscribe to the newsletter, you will receive the newsletter via email. You may choose to unsubscribe from this email at any stage should you no longer wish to receive this newsletter.

Suppose you change your mind and no longer wish to receive marketing-related e-mails from me on a going-forward basis. In that case, you may unsubscribe from receiving such marketing-related e-mails or from such sharing at any time by using the tool provided to you.

What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a minimal text document, which often includes a unique anonymous identifier. When you visit a Website, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each Website can send its cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a Website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.

How Do I Use Information I Collect from Cookies?

As you use my Website, the site uses its cookies to differentiate you from other users. In some cases, I also use cookies to prevent you from seeing unnecessary advertisements. In conjunction with the Web server’s log files, Cookies allow me to calculate the aggregate number of people visiting the Website and which parts of the site are most popular. This helps me gather feedback in order to improve my Website and better serve my customers constantly. Cookies do not allow me to collect any personal information about you, and I do not generally store any personal information that you provided to me in your cookies.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

When I disclose your Personal Information to third parties, I take reasonable measures to ensure the rules outlined in this Privacy Policy comply, and these third parties provide sufficient guarantees to implement organizational measures. I may buy or sell assets or offerings as I develop my business. Customer, email, and visitor information is generally one of the transferred business assets. I may also transfer data during corporate divestitures, mergers, or any dissolution.

Notice of New Services and Changes

Occasionally, I may also use the information I collect to notify you about significant changes to my Website, new services, and special offers I think you will find valuable. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any point should you not wish to receive this information.

Certain Disclosures

I may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or if I believe that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the law or comply with the legal process served on me; (b) protect and defend our rights and property, my site, the users of my site; (c) act under the circumstances to protect the safety of users of my site or me.

What About Other Websites Linked to my Website?

I am not responsible for the practices employed by Websites linked to or from my Website nor the information or content contained therein. Often links to other Websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of my Website. Please remember that when you use a link to go from my Website to another Website, my Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other Website, including Websites that have a link on my Website, is subject to that Website’s own rules and policies. Please read over those rules and policies before proceeding.

Your Consent

When submitting your email address, your IP address is saved as a form of proof of content to subscribe to the newsletter. By using my Website you consent to my collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. If I change my privacy policies and procedures, I will post those changes on my Website to keep you aware of what information I collect, how I use it, and under what circumstances I may disclose it.

Retention and Security

Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where I have facilities or engage third-party service providers. Using the Website, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules than your country. While such information is outside of Portugal, it is subject to the laws of the country in which it is held and may be subject to disclosure to the governments, courts or law enforcement or regulatory agencies of such other country, pursuant to the laws of such country. However, the practices regarding your personal information will at all times continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy and, if applicable, I will comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) requirements providing adequate protection for the transfer of personal information from the EU/EEA to third country.

I have implemented various physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality and security of Personal Information under my control. However, no security measures are absolute or wholly guaranteed.

However, to ensure that the Personal Information we maintain about you is accurate and up to date, please inform me immediately of any change in your Personal Information.
